By accessing and using PicOptimize, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

2. Description of Service

PicOptimize is a free, browser-based image compression tool that converts images to WebP format. All processing occurs locally in your browser using client-side technology.

• 100% client-side processing - no server uploads
• Supports PNG, JPEG/JPG, and WebP input formats
• Outputs optimized WebP images
• Batch processing up to 20 images at once
• ZIP download for bulk compressed images

3. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is our priority. Please review our Privacy Policy for detailed information.

• No images are uploaded to any server
• No personal data is collected or stored
• No tracking, analytics, or cookies
• All processing happens locally in your browser

4. Free Use & No Warranty

PicOptimize is provided free of charge. The service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

• No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service
• No warranty of specific compression results
• No liability for any damages arising from use
• Service may be modified or discontinued at any time

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to use PicOptimize responsibly and in accordance with these terms:

• Use the service for lawful purposes only
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer or extract source code
• Do not use automated systems to overload the service
• Respect intellectual property rights of images you compress
• Do not use the service to process illegal content

6. Intellectual Property

All rights to PicOptimize, including its design, code, and branding, are owned by the PicOptimize team. You retain all rights to your original images and compressed outputs.

• You own your images and compressed results
• No license is granted to us for your content
• PicOptimize branding and code remain our property
• Open source libraries used retain their respective licenses

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PicOptimize and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses.

• No liability for image quality or compression results
• No liability for service interruptions or errors
• No liability for any misuse of the service
• Total liability limited to the amount you paid (zero)

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PicOptimize and its creators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

9. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the service.

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. Check this page periodically for updates.

10. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through appropriate legal channels in the relevant jurisdiction.

11. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
